Since opening The Seraphim last July, we’ve posted just over 100 “Notes” (i.e., interesting blurbs which aren’t developed into full-length articles), and these are contained in the “Notes” section located at the top of the homepage banner.
For one reason or another, the Notes just don’t generate as much interest as regular articles. I’d be interested in hearing your speculations on why that might be, as it seems counterintuitive to me (i.e., +Williamson used to keep most of his Eleison Comments to one page precisely because he believed nobody read books or articles anymore. Most people just don’t have the patience and attention span).
Of the 100+ notes published in the last year, only five have generated more that 1,000 hits (i.e., a significantly lower ratio than the articles).
To draw some attention to this neglected section, I post the top 5 most viewed Notes (in reverse order), and I have to admit I would not have thought ANY of these would have made such a list, but here you go:
