Rabah: Heaven's Power Of Multiplication

Father is really into multiplication. You never know just when and where He’ll manifest increase, but when He reveals Himself it’s always a natural phenomenon, to be sure. Unlike men, it’s never contrived from work or effort, but flows out of His self-existing nature. Like the Sun’s shine, bringing warmth and light wherever it goes, abundance and increase are a natural effect of His presence.

Last week I shared about the super-abounding affect of divine work demonstrated in our Brother, Yeshua, through the feeding of the 5,000. If you will recall, I mentioned two takeaways from this miraculous work: it never experiences waste or loss in the process, and it always completely satisfies the need. You might say that the effort and energy put into divine work has a 100 percent conversion rate.

These are the intended results of divine work and the characteristics of divine multiplication according to the pattern Father established for Adam in the Garden, and again revealed through the life-work of Yeshua.

This kind of multiplication stands apart from every other definition of abundance below the sun, because it is not subject to this World’s entropic influence. Where moth and rust soon ruin the increase of all man’s efforts, the product of the Father’s work, and His Son, never suffers such outcomes. This is why we call heavenly abundance supernatural.

The fruit of our heaven-directed labor completely satisfies the need and want at hand, and yet has within it the potential energy to keep producing long after the demand has been met.

On the mountain that day, Yeshua stopped distributing food to the 5,000 only because there weren’t more people, not because He ran out. Had there been three times as many, there would not have been any less food available. They would have all been completed satisfied. He could have fed the entire nation of Israel that day, had they all been there on that mountain with Him.

(Interesting side note: the Father had the same intentions with the children of Israel that day up on Mount Sinai—to be their complete satisfaction, but only a handful would eventually go up to eat with Him.)

Like His Father, the produce of Yeshua’s hands completely met the need of the moment, not because of the quantity but because of the quality of the producer. And this a key principle: divine abundance is the resulting outflow of the divine nature, not the effort being applied.

The World lives by the principle: do less, get less. Do more, get more. Do a whole lot more, get a whole lot, lot more. But in heaven’s economy the same effort can produce quite a wide variety of results, which can frustrate the natural mind. This is because the product of divine work is predicated upon what is necessary for the moment, not upon the amount of energy being applied.

In Genesis 1, every time the Father spoke, something completely different came into being. Same voice. Same energy. Different results. Each word was spoken forth completed all that Father intended and desired with His heart—the extension of His divine nature.

We see this mystery contained within the very Hebrew word for multiply, rabah. In the Old Testament it is translated as “to increase, to multiply, to become many, or to grow”, and of course, it first appears as part of the first commandments given to man in Genesis 1:28. Rabah is made up of three living letters: Resh, Beyt, and Hey.

The ancient pictograph of Resh is the profile shape of a head, and it means authority, first, or beginning. Beyt is the symbol of a house, which again, as I mention in last weeks post represent family or shelter. Finally Hey, is that of a man with arms upraised, like someone saying, “Hey, over here! Look at me!” It mean to breathe, behold or reveal.

Together these letters convey this idea: The head of the house revealed, the beginning of the family beheld in the breath. Rabah essentially declares, “Behold! Here is the Head of all things revealing His nature through increase.”

And so does Isaiah:

“And in the year of the death of King Uzziah, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne being high and lifted up, and his train was filling the temple. Seraphim stood above Him…and this one cried to this one and said: “Holy, holy, holy is YHWH of Hosts; the fullness of all the earth is His glory!”

The train of our Father’s glory is the manifested super-abundance that surrounds Him. Wherever He goes, increase just happens! The very energy of His movement produces it, and in this same restful energy Yeshua fed the people from that same abundance and they were completely filled.

Heres’ the important takeaway: accessing divine abundance isn’t about achieving that everlasting, overflowing amount of whatever. It’s about revealing the divine nature—the divine life of the one that produces it.

Which really makes sense when you think about this: how do you measure quantity & quality in a reality of limitless perfection? Not by the bounty that surrounds you, but by the One who surrounds you with His bounty. This is how He revealed Himself in Yeshua, and how He reveals Himself in us today.

For where two or three are gathered together unto My name, there am I in their midst.” Matthew 18:20

There is a third characteristic to divine abundance resulting from divine work: synergistic regeneration. There’s an inherent feedback process in which the energy from the output of the work done is fed back into the process to reinforce the work being done.

Imagine this: every time Yeshua tore off fragments from the loaf of bread, the energy of that effort regenerated new bread. Essentially, the fragment would grow right back!

This regenerative miracle was the result of the synergistic relationship Yeshua had with the Father. Matt. 18:20 helps us understand how it works.

The relational connection of the individuals in this verse are identified by ‘gathered in His name’, and His presence becomes the observable identification of the whole (Remember the Hey in rabah?). But the synergistic characteristic is found in the Greek word for “gathered together”, which is synēgmenoi, and its root word is sunago (συνάγω), which means to lead together, i.e. bring together, come together.

By the way, synergy is the interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements or their contributions.

So, when Yeshua combined his efforts with the efforts of His Father (remember: “I only do what I see My Father doing…”), it produced something far greater then their individual contributions. Their synergistic efforts produced a super-abounding, sum total!

This type of “gather-together” gets a really interesting when you apply the synergistic principle that’s being implied in this verse. Because the math gets an upgrade. 1 + 1 ceases to equal 2; 1 + 1 + 1 stops being 3! Why?

It has to do with the other part of equation: “in My name”. “Gathered-together” + “in My name” creates a synergistic effect that changes the results of the equation. “In My name” establishes a synergistic relationship between the “two or three”, where the work of two or three produces more than the sum of the individual effort.

How is this possible? Because the synergistic effect of gathering in His name opens up a portal for the Father’s super-abounding supply to flow into creation. ” If two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”

Now that sum total, may be as small as a seed, but its synergistic potential has the ability to feed a nation, or restored the whole of creation with it regenerative potency.

We see this wonder on display every time a child is conceived. It’s a seed with an immeasurable abundance locked up within such a small image. Honestly, there’s more potential energy is just one of these then the largest nuclear star in our galaxy, because the image of the One who created them is inside.

That potential energy is nothing less then divine multiplication waiting for the moment of need—waiting for His divine work to illuminate the synergistic relationship between a Father and His Children. This was the kind of abundance that was in Father’s heart when He created Adam and placed him in the Garden, and this is the divine abundance He desires to reveal in us today, through our own synergistic relationship with the Divine.
