Share something big publicly, ask for something, apply for a job, make an announcement, launch something that’s been brewing, follow up with a contact you haven’t heard from, make an offer… whatever big move you can think of, let’s goooo. Nothing’s ever perfect in the skies but this full moon is quite ripe for recognition, proliferation, and success and it’s pretty dang good.
July 29th is the best day to take action, but the following two weeks (‘til the new moon/solar eclipse on August 12th) are like a ripple dancing out from this full moon.
This full moon is at 6º Aquarius, exactly opposite Jupiter and the sun in Leo as they perfect a conjunction to one another; at the time that the full moon goes exact (i.e. when the sun and moon are exactly opposite each other to the minute), Jupiter and the sun are 5 minutes (not degrees—minutes!) apart.
Jupiter makes things bigger—it grows and emphasizes whatever it touches. As I’ve said a zillion times recently, because Jupiter and the south node are now moving through Leo together, it is crucial to carefully balance the Leo and Aquarius (where the north node is) archetypes in order to get the good fortune suggested by Jupiter in Leo. In my forecast for Jupiter in Leo I wrote:
“We’ll have to eradicate the dark phantom of Leo in order to generate the living magic of Leo—a sun, a lion, a leader who is talented without arrogance, who is generous of heart and lives beyond hierarchy, and who is unified with the world without losing themselves to the world.”
Leo is the sign of consistent, strong visibility: it’s a fire sign (visibility) ruled by the sun (visibility) and it’s a fixed sign (continuous, sustaining). This Jupiter cazimi indicates significant visibility—the type that only comes about once every 12 years—so if you want something to be seen, this is the full moon to put it out there. Don’t hold back, don’t let inhibitions or fears get the better of you, and remember to lean into your community and support others.
If a Jupiter cazimi rises in the woods and no one’s around to see it, does it matter at all? Nope. Visibility isn’t just about getting on the stage and screaming — it’s about having the community around you to actually see what you’re doing. Aquarius knows that and that’s part of why this full moon feels so powerful. Every full moon in Aquarius is about the relationship between the individual and the community surrounding them. This one is just a lot louder than the average.
Not only is this full moon opposite the Jupiter-sun conjunction but it’s also conjunct Pluto in Aquarius, and Juno in Aquarius (at 4º and 3º, respectively).
Pluto isn’t only an ~intense~ or malefic force, though it can be. Among other things, Pluto represents extremes—big highs and lows—and Pluto is the god of wealth, because Pluto is the god of the underworld and wealth was historically found underground in the form of precious materials. A full moon conjunct Pluto and opposite Jupiter further illuminates the beneficence of Jupiter, Jupiter conjunct the sun, and Pluto’s extremes and riches (as well as shadowy things).
Pluto has a viral quality too. Pluto spreads seeds, so if you cast some into the wind right now they’ll probably travel. Obviously we wanna be cautious about what we’re disseminating — is what you’re hoping to spread genuinely beneficial to the world, or is it merely contributing to the for-profit decimation of our physical and/or social world? This is always important, but particularly right now as some of the shadows to watch out for here are arrogance, greed, single-mindedness, close-mindedness, and dogmatic, culty insistence on any one thing (one direction, one POV, etc.).
Juno conjunct Pluto and the full moon speaks to commitment. Ending or evolving commitments that are inhibiting the growth of either party is likely right now, and overall this is a time when we’re narrowing our focus and deciding what’s worth committing to and what isn’t, what would cost us too much, or already is. This is a full moon under which I expect a lot of struggling commitments to end or change, especially those that have been struggling or in the process of concluding since April.
This full moon also activates and illuminates the ongoing cradle formation dubbed Barbault’s basket. While this transit has passed the moment of exactitude, it continues to drift within a few degrees of exact until August 5th, and continues on a sign-based level ‘til next July. I’ve already written about the basket at length in a recent article.
This full moon illuminates and intensifies the energy of the basket: an energy of great harmony, along with enough of the friction needed to really make any sort of magic happen. I’ve been calling the basket a boat, and the vessel is there waiting and we can fill it with whatever we’d like to see sail the oceans, see the world, and really make it big. There’s much support within the boat and it’s not without the friction needed to generate something new either.
The full moon in Aquarius is an opportune moment to load it up and take the boat out on the water. Remember that because this basket is made up of several sextiles (along with two trines and an opposition), we have to take action in order to make the boat float. Yes, there may be energy flowing but it also requires our rowing arms, so to speak.
I’ve been using this boat to nurture The Nest, and in the last 30 days overall subscriptions have increased by 13.8%, and paid subscriptions have increased by 37% — the energy of the moment is supportive, but I’m putting a ton of effort into what I do here in order to captain this boat with your needs in mind, sharing anything that’ll help y’all navigate these seas. In the comments or in the Substack group chat you’re always welcome to make suggestions to let me know what you’d benefit from seeing here too! I’m incredibly grateful to see so many new people here, thank you for being here.
I’m also launching something totally new:
On the day of this full moon, my new retainer service embarks on its maiden voyage. Starting now, you will be able to hire me as your astrologer on retainer for three months at a time.
This means you’ll get access to me and my astrologer’s brain in a whole new way. Think about it as having an astrologer on speed dial. At $700 per month (3-month commitment required, for a total of $2,100), the retainer package includes:
• Up to 10 hours of live meetings across three months, at whatever interval works for you (weekly, biweekly, monthly, as needed). This is great for planning any and all areas of life in tandem with the cosmos, longer-term collaboration on brand strategies that work for your chart, astrological guidance through a transitional period, working consistently on an issue that’s plaguing you, diving deep into any of my areas of expertise, and more
• Unlimited email correspondence — whenever you have a question, I’m there
• Up to four elections per month to identify good days and times to make moves in any area of life. This is extremely helpful for the biggest areas of life, like career, business, and relationships, as well as for smaller things, like finding the best time to host a party
This is a marvelous opportunity for us to work together more deeply and intimately, to really get to know your chart inside and out, and to arrange your life so that it flows well with the cosmic currents.
This option is limited to three clients. To apply, fill out this form and you’ll hear back from me between this full moon and the next new moon (a solar eclipse) on August 12th.
Next, here are some ideas for things to do with this full moon, the energy to put into what you do in order to amplify the benefit for yourself and those around you, and where this full moon is influencing each of the signs.
