some weeks are the kind of weeks where the brain stops working at thursday lunchtime. the inbox stops making sense. you stand in the kitchen at 6pm and forget why you went in there. you know the kind of week.

burnout club is for those sundays. it’s a yoga workout set to high-energy club music, the kind of music that doesn’t ask you to be calm, because being calm is a thing other people in your life can do this week and you cannot. the class alternates between intensity and release. builds heat through continuous movement, then drops you into slower shapes to reset. pressure, release, pressure again. on purpose.

expect to sweat. expect to stretch. expect a few moments where the body softens just before it’s pulled back into motion — which is also, by the way, what burnout feels like, except this version is on your terms.

three things to know before you press play.

one: you do not have to finish it. if you make it through the first ten minutes and lie on the floor for the rest, you did the class.

two: you do not have to keep up. the slow shapes are the actual point — they’re where the nervous system catches up to the body.

three: there is no good outfit. wear what’s clean enough. or what isn’t. nobody’s looking, including us.

we’ll be back here with another class. or in the room at the end of the month, if you’re in melbourne. either way, you don’t have to be okay this morning.

permission to be human and imperfect.

love,
