There is something about the heat that really makes you throw the towel in and submit to a more relaxed lady-of-leisure pace. Come 3 pm I’ve been finding myself collapsing on the couch, in the shade, on a beach chair… really any reclined position will do where I either request a beverage from my husband or simply scroll to my hearts desire…
Hence a bit of a growing shopping wishlist that I thought I’d share here.
Jewelry on my mind…
Jane Pope truly has a grip on me at the moment… I got a hold of a pre-sale code (JP2026Samantha) that allows you to shop before the actual 20% off site wide sale begins on 7/28. Currently trying to justify this seven point emerald cut diamond ring and a name ring with Elin’s name on it—since I already have one with Lila’s. Her pieces are heirlooms so to me it’s always worth the investment. I have had this ring for years and it’s still one of my most treasured pieces to pull out.
Adding a pop of color via jewelry like this red cord choker, a bright turquoise mixed with gold (especially with a tan), obsessed with the colors of this large bead pendant necklace, or this beaded one with a pave pendant.
Bags and more bags…
Fun mini bags have been a real theme for me this summer… someone stop me! I recently discovered Pura Utz and can’t get enough of the designs and colors. This one arrived that I ordered back in June and it’s been the thing I get dressed around lately—so good with denim, the perfect addition to casual elements.
Still considering this one that feels like a sweet doily and would be so pretty with other lace pieces. In the same delicate family… Le Sundial bags have my attention, especially this style and this one from Merlette that is a true mermaid’s find.
Bags with bead details like this one and this one… can’t stop thinking about this one from Emm Kuo next to a sparkling ocean! Dreamy.
Since laying eyes on the Cecily bag by The Row, I can’t get satin bags out of my head. Found this sweet find on Etsy (kind of love the idea of monogramming one too), considering the Cecily with tassels currently on pre-order (so good for fall!) and this Little Liffner zip clutch in olive—oh and the mandarin color!
Bronzed and blushed…
The only way to be at the height of summer! Just tried this face self-tanner the other night and i’m obsessed! It’s so easy to use, has a lotion type consistency and you wake up looking perfectly sun-kissed. Loving this Rhode highlight milk in 02 with some blush on top…
The blush I’ve been the most obsessed with is this palette, the duo is perfect for summer and that flushed look. Ordered this $5 dollar liquid blush/bronzer that is rumored to rival the Victoria Beckham one—got the Maple Latte shade and Orange Crush.
The creamy consistency of the Jones Road miracle balm always makes for a dewy look, I have a couple that I absolutely love. The Miami Beach color is a peachy color I’ve been wanting… it’s high on the wishlist.
Dresses that could be nighties…
Another direct result of a hot summer, but is there anything better than a super thin cotton nightie that can double as a dress? Some finds that are currently in my cart because it might be all I want to wear in the coming weeks…
This Vanessa Bruno cotton dress, I could live in this dress for the rest of summer, love the shape of this one, the shirred bodice of this one, another lace find, the ideal hot weather dress to have on hand and this sweet little dress.
Taking a hard right turn to early fall finds…
I’m already thinking ahead to Fall and shopping one of my favorite categories, outerwear. I have a couple new pieces that I’ve been wearing on cooler summer nights—this tobacco suede jacket that looks far more expensive than it is and a Doen jacket I scored at their warehouse sale—that I plan on wearing into cooler Fall/Winter days.
Spent some time on Nili Lotan, always a good idea, and fell in love with this shorter leather jacket and these vintage tan washed jeans.
Lime green might be my early fall vibe after spotting this sweater… might need the pants too!
This Cecilie Bahnsen anorak is going to go quick! Obsessed.
I will never tire of a dash of vintage dad energy for Fall… oversized crewneck sweaters (this navy one is on my wish list), loafers, henley knits, sporty track shorts, rugby-style shirts, vintage tees and baseball caps… some finds that fit the look like this striped shirt, love these satin track shorts (the perfect mix of feminine and masculine), these Reformation x Umbro shorts and this striped boyfriend sweater.
This chestnut colored jacket is just too good and such a good price…
Hope you’re all having a great weekend!
xx Samantha
