Cookies and Cake

Hi there!

With Easter having come and gone, it was time to plan out what I was going to make this April. And well, let’s say I kicked the content calendar out the door and just got down to baking what I thought should be shared with the world.

The first of the recipes is a lemon and white chocolate cookie that can be made with fresh lemon juice and zest or with lemon extract. Honestly, the lemon extract version of these cookies really reminded me of lemon creams! Which was a nice surprise during the testing process.

And the second is that of a really delicious date and walnut loaf cake.

This date and walnut cake is the perfect everyday loaf cake. It’s an easy recipe, and filled with those delicious date and walnut flavors that are complimented by some warm spices. A bit of a twist on the traditional British version.
