What’s up guys. For another week, I’m writing this not on a Sunday but it’s all good. This week was mostly relaxed but still got some cool stuff in. The protocol is essentially ready to be released. There’s a nice screen that pops up after that tells you what you can do with your data that I’m pretty excited about. Also fixed a few issues with iMessage export on Mac and Python finding issues (I now have a Mac so I can debug and package all these things myself which is amazing).
In terms of the API, made good progress with organizing the backend and fetching data works for Notion, which is super cool. The goal is to clean up the backend some more and the datastructure (as usual) as well. I’d estimate the hardest part is making the infrastructure extensible to all the existing integration; not everything works the same way and they all have their own ways of getting the access token, having a refresh token, how much time in between, etc so handling all that is super annoying. But that’s why something like this is valuable. Because rather than every AI agent/assistant company building out these things themselves, having an easily integratabtle API that also protects user privacy is super valuable. At least that’s how I see it.
I’ll have way more updates than this over the next month (and hopefully longer) so stay tuned. Till next time.
