6 years ago I sat in a nerologists office with a fresh diagnosis and a printout that told me nothing about why I was sick.

My first symptom was 6 months prior to this doctors visit, where siting in my groundfloor appartnemt my left palm began to tingle. Within weeks it had spread to both hands, then my face, my neck, my legs, my feet. A skin biopsy gave it a name. Small Fiber Neuropathy, driven by an autoimmune process. The plan I was handed came down to a lifetime of pain management and drugs that quiet the immune system without ever asking why it turned on me in the first place.

I walked out of that office knowing two things.:

1) My label was real, I wasn’t crazy.

2) The label was useless to me as a map for getting better.

So I fired my doctors and went looking for the map myself. I went back to school, became a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and put my own symptoms into remission. Since then I have worked with hundreds of autoimmune and neuropathic clients and watched the same patterns repeat until they stopped looking like coincidence and started looking like rules.

What follows are the positions I have landed on after five years of my own recovery and thousands of hours inside the blood work, sleep patterns, and daily habits of the people I coach. These are the hills I will die on. Some of them will, without a shadow of a doubt, annoy your doctor. A few of them annoyed me when I first ran into the evidence honestly.

All of them changed the way I heal, and the way I help other people heal.

Read them in order. Each one builds on the last.

TLDR

  • Two people with the same autoimmune diagnosis can carry opposite root causes. Your blood chemistry, not a template, decides what your diet should look like.

  • A diagnosis names the tissue under attack. It never explains why your immune system went there.

  • Supplements are one input. Sleep, light, meals, and stress run every single day, and they outvote a capsule almost every time.

  • Your nervous system decides whether your body is in repair mode or defense mode. You cannot biohack your way out of feeling unsafe.

  • Remission is a practice you keep, not a finish line you cross. Here’s how I’d build a framework for healing.
