Robyn Youkilis · This Is Who I Am Now

Hi there! 💛

I’ve been gathering the courage to share this conversation for nearly 10 months.

In this week’s episode we talked about my lifelong struggles with body image, diet culture, postpartum healing, how it all came to head in perimenopause, and finally letting go of the stories I thought I had to live by. Plus I opened up fully about my decision to start a GLP-1, and why it was never really a conversation about just weight.

I want to approach this conversation with a lot of care. I know this topic can be really polarizing, and you might not agree with everything I say. Truly, that’s okay. This isn’t about convincing anyone. It’s simply me sharing my own experience, my own journey, and where I am right now.

🎥 Watch the full episode above.

Put it on while you’re walking, driving, folding laundry, or grab a coffee and make a little pocket of time just for you. ☕️✨(and a reminder you can listen to it like a podcast and adjust playback speed as well in the Substack app!)

In this episode, we get into:

✨ Why doing everything “right” still wasn’t enough
✨ The real story behind my diastasis, and why I almost chose surgery
✨ My complicated decision to start a GLP-1, and the fears I had to work through first
✨ The mindset shift that changed everything aka
I’ve never believed we get extra points for suffering
✨ What it really means to stop fighting your body and start listening to it

I’d love to hear from you:

✨ What’s one outdated story about yourself you’re ready to let go of? ✨
