Prince Harry and Meghan Markle haven’t even returned to Britain yet, but London society is already facing an uncomfortable question: Team Sussex or Team Wales?

Following news of the Sussexes’ planned return, sources tell Naughty But Nice that people across London’s establishment are quietly deciding where they stand — and nobody wants to get caught on the wrong side of the royal divide.

“People are already making calculations,” a source tells Naughty But Nice. “Nobody wants to upset William and Kate. They are the future King and Queen, and that matters enormously in London.”

The concern is not necessarily about rejecting Harry and Meghan. It is about what being seen with them could mean. A dinner, a party invitation or even a photograph can suddenly become a big statement in royal circles.

“You can’t really be close to both sides anymore,” the source says. “There is simply too much history. People don’t want to be photographed with Harry and Meghan and then have William and Kate wonder where their loyalties lie.”

The Sussexes may be preparing to spend more time in Britain, but their return is already creating a social dilemma for the people around them.

And the Waleses remain the safer long-term bet.

“Nobody wants to pick a fight with the future King and Queen,” the source tells us. “People know where the monarchy is going. They have to think about the future.”

Harry and Meghan haven’t come home yet — but London is already asking the question: Team Sussex or Team Wales?
