Hello, hello, hello…
Kate Middleton is encouraging Prince William to make peace with Prince Harry — but sources tell Naughty But Nice this isn’t about rebuilding a brotherly relationship. It’s about protecting the monarchy.
Harry and Meghan Markle want to build a separate operation of their own in England, creating what one source describes as a “rival royal court” alongside William and Kate’s future reign. The two couples may never be close again, but Kate believes they don’t need to be at war, either.
“Kate is the voice of reason,” a source tells Naughty But Nice. “She knows William and Harry may never be brothers in the way they once were. But they can be civil, they can cooperate, and they can stop feeding the story that the royal family is permanently divided.”
Kate also understands something bigger: every public clash gives Harry and Meghan more oxygen.
“This isn’t about forgiveness. It’s about strategy,” the source says. “Kate is thinking about the institution and the future, when William is King and she is Queen.”
And underestimate Kate at your peril.
She has spent years quietly positioning herself for the most important role of her life. She knows when to speak, when to stay silent and, crucially, when to think several moves ahead.
“Kate is a chess player,” the source tells us. “She doesn’t need Harry to love William. She needs him to stop fighting him.”
That may be the most revealing part of Kate’s strategy. She isn’t trying to repair a family relationship that may be beyond repair. The future Queen is playing the long game — and she knows exactly what is at stake.
