EXCLUSIVE: HAYDEN PANETTIERE’S MOM MOVES TO TAKE CONTROL OF HER ESTATE AS NO WILL IS FOUND

Hayden Panettiere’s mother, Lesley Vogel, is moving to take control of her late daughter’s estate as questions grow over whether Hayden left behind a will.

Sources tell Naughty But Nice that no will has been located so far, potentially putting Vogel in a powerful position as Hayden’s 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, stands to inherit her mother’s estate.

Kaya is Hayden’s only child, but because she is a minor, she cannot simply take control of the assets herself. If Hayden died without a will, California intestacy law generally directs the estate to her child, with the inheritance handled through a court-supervised process.

That could leave an adult representative responsible for managing the money and property until Kaya reaches adulthood — and Vogel, who managed Hayden’s career when she was a child, could once again find herself in that role.

“Lesley is positioning herself to take charge again,” a source tells Naughty But Nice. “Kaya is the heir, but she’s only 11. Someone has to manage everything, and that person could have enormous influence over Hayden’s legacy.”

The estate includes property, personal assets and future entertainment income, including residuals and royalties from Heroes, Nashville and the Scream franchise. Legal experts say it remains unknown whether Hayden had a will or trust that could change how those assets are handled.

“This is about much more than just the money,” the source says. “Whoever controls Hayden’s estate controls a major piece of her legacy — and that matters.”
