I had this idea that was like the premise of the old cartoon Gargoyles, where an old “thing” is found, restored in a modern setting and then shenanigans happen.
This is clearly not that idea. I dont know what this idea is. This is the stupidest thing I have ever written.1
I can probably salvage this. I dont particularly want to, but I think I can. I’ve considered, in the past, doing a thing where I go over an old draft a few times and go through the edit process, turning dross into .. I mean, itll still be dross, but maybe a slightly higher quality of dross? This is the sort of piece I would do that with. Flesh out the “modern” character, change up the “historical” characters and make the themes and metaphors fit a bit nicer together. Something to consider, perhaps.
Anyway. Terrible day.
