I've been thinking about you lately…. even more so than before and I’m grateful that you are taking time out of your life to meet me here in this moment to take in whatever it is that I’ve been needing to say to you…
You’ve had a rough go, the years have not always been kind and there are days when you think giving up is best and yet, you’re still here.. still in this moment with me, searching for something that will bridge you toward your destination and while I hope my words are often the thing that helps you pave the way… I do want you to remeber that sometimes the destination isn’t external, sometimes the place where you are needed or the place from which you wish to go is not outside of yourself…
Right now, I want you to use this moment as a mirror and as you look into this screen to read these words, maybe you can see your reflection… good…. you are not only seeing yourself but you are also seeing the place you need to go.. the place that needs your attention the most….
You… and only you….. YOU ARE THE PLACE, YOU ARE THE DESTINATION, YOU ARE THE ADVENTURE, YOU ARE THE PATH. I need you to stop forgetting that you are the plot, the story, the book, the chapters and pages… I know that you have held space for others but it’s time that you hold and maintain space for yourself because the more you go inward, the more beautiful the world outside of you becomes…
It’s 9:50 am… here, where I am and as I sip my coffee from my favorite place in Astoria New York and push my classical music from my phone to my Tivoli radio, thinking about all the things I wish to say to you today… this is a beautiful start to the morning….
I’d like the opportunity to continue to hold your hand through whatever you may be facing… I want the chance to stand beside you, not to necessarily take hold of your healing and your meditation inward but I do want to provide a place of solace and understanding, a place where you can go to pick up the tools and be reminded that you are capable of becoming everything you’ve needed and then some…
Maybe this is enough, maybe the words here sparked something within your heart but maybe you need more, maybe you’re after something that stays with you, each day, helping you understand what has been hidden underneath the hurt and confusion…
If so, use these journals, reach for them when you’re ready, I hope these help you unlock the answers and wisdom that lives within you already… sometimes you just need a little push to see clearly and to remember that you hold everything that you’ve been searching for externally…
Here’s to the beginning of something that is hard, necessary and beautiful…
