Every year something or the other trends in the spiritual space. One day it is Inner Child Healing, the next it is Human Design, and then Ho`oponopono… and then Past life regression, Ancestral Healing and what not.

No shade to any of it, I use them all myself. But what most folks don’t realize is that - they are all tools that do a certain job.

Think about any professional’s toolkit - they all have a variety of tools at their disposal that helps them do their job really well. If they don’t have the high-level automatic drilling machines, they use the low level hammer and nail. All the tools do what they are supposed to… some do them really efficiently, some quickly, some without leaving more damage etc.

Same with the professional as well… Some are really good and actually know what they are doing, while some are there just to put a band-aid on things while some are there to just do a job & don’t care what shortcuts they use or what they end up damaging in the course of ‘completing their job’.

So we hire good professionals depending on how important the work is to us…

If we don’t really care about long-term health or are avoiding knowing what is really wrong with you, you’d go to a doctor who just hands over meds to get you through the latest illness without caring about your medical history.

If our house is truly dear to us, we care about getting the right professionals to fix the damages & ensure the best of materials are used.

With time, some folks decide to learn about nutrition because they care about their health, some folks start learning to fix things by themselves… depending on interest, drive, curiosity and what not.

When it comes to Spirituality and Healing…. you might either want someone to help you fix what needs fixing or… you start learning to do it yourself.

Yesterday inside Eunoia, the discussion went somewhere that made me write this letter - the discussion of how healing in relationships using any ‘tool’ means nothing if you don’t do anything after it.

We have an entire section on clearing baggage, forgiving others (ho`oponopono is a major aspect of this)… aka healing what has been hurt. But it doesn’t just stop there…. an entire section exists on what to do after that, after you ‘heal’.

Say you forgive a parent or sibling or partner or friend for something they hurt you. You use your tool or practice to help you move through it. You feel better emotionally & mentally. But they repeat the behavior again and again. Do you just keep healing & forgiving? Hell no.

You stand up for yourself. You speak up. You become assertive. Or you make yourself stronger to be able to do all this. You set boundaries. You take action.

Healing isn’t just meant to make you feel better, it is meant to empower you to take the action you are supposed to. That’s how you grow. That’s actually how you fully heal. By respecting yourself. By standing up for yourself. By having your own back.

As a spiritual coach, guide, healer who has learnt, uses, teaches many of these tools & practices myself, let me tell you this… Healing for the sake of healing ain’t going to change anybody. The actions that you take after that are what give the healing the anchor it needs to become something beautiful.

So whether you get a professional to help fix your issues or you learn to do it yourself… remember, your actions create change.

What part of this letter triggers something for you? - That is something you might want to sit with & understand coz many times, triggers hold the most growth for us <3
