Four looks Friday always makes me reimagine clothes I've had for a while. It is a great excuse to try to style things I love but never wear day to day. As always, I hope these looks help you rediscover your own closet and inspire you just a little.
I think it is safe to say this is the last diaper look of the season. I know august is still summer as I am reminded by 90 degree days everyday but I just decided after this look I'm moving on from my tiny little bloomers for now. With that said, I do really love these perfect little plaid bloomers paired with this striped shirt. I wish this shirt was still available because it might be my most complimented striped tee. It’s just a more interesting version of a stripe shirt you see all the time. I added these fun little Versace heels and a dainty little bag. I also added this beaded Madewell necklace that I feel like is similar to the long one I am wearing below but a more causal version.
This top/dress thing I have had for years. I honestly do not remember where I bought it but I have held on to it for so long. It is not a piece I reach for often and I love the fabric so much but sometimes have a hard time styling it. I don’t want it to feel to quirky or whimsical which I feel like it can very easily. I always want to style it with jeans but it never looks quite right so I landed on some white bloomers. I feel like I just needed to lean into all white for this look to feel right. I did however add this fun little blue bag which helps the look not feel too washed out. I really do love this piece and the longer I look at it I'm curious if I could get it reworked to make it be a piece I could wear more often. Maybe shorten it? If you have any ideas I’d love to hear them.
I'm sorry but I'm just never the person who cares enough to iron the wrinkles out of my clothes. I do wish I was someone who cared enough but I never will be. I am a type B person through and through. You probably can tell this by now but a simple little outfit with a graphic tee is just the perfect uniform to me. I will never not feel comfortable in an outfit like this. I will always feel most like myself. This is why I think having a drawer full of good vintage graphic tees is crucial. I am working on my collection because I need more. A good graphic tee, some comfy but cute pants, a good pair of sunglasses, and a nice bag. You are set!
High waisted pants and they are straight leg what has this world come to. No but in all seriousness I am so inspired by Versace’s most recent spring collection. The colors made me rethink these pants I've had for a while. The colors were greens, and purples and red, and stripes. It felt very 80s but a better version. When a collection actually inspires you and makes you look at your own closet and how you can recreate things. I feel like that is what fashion should be all about. I added this vintage belt with the green jeans. I styled it with the perfect long sleeve white tee. I then added a little yellow bag just to add more color. It’s kind of fun to switch it up and wear a sillouete you don’t wear very often.
Thank you for taking the time to read this! xx
