Nocona played 14 sophomores at certain points last season so there was a learning curve to be expected during the Indians’ 2-8 campaign.
The good news for coach Jeff Hill – who enters his second season leading the program – is that seven offensive and eight defensive starters are returning, including first-team all-district selections Jax Fuller and Logan Gaston.
Nocona not only benefits from having most of its top skill kids back, but the Indians landed in a friendlier district than their previous grouping.
