Res Creativa has been quietly shifting over the past several weeks. It has evolved from an idea into a place people can enter, explore, and help shape.
The Res Creativa website is now live:
It gives our work a home beyond the newsletter: a space for our essays, our founders, and the early conversations about what artists and arts enthusiasts can do together.
At the center of those conversations is a question we’ve carried from the beginning:
If imagination is essential to a healthy democracy, what can we do with it?
To explore that question, I’ve been talking with fellow founders about what they see in their own practices, what they understand from experience, and what they believe might be possible.
These conversations matter because they move us beyond describing the problems we face. They help us imagine actions. Things people can do.
Res Creativa was never meant to be another organization that tells artists what to think. It is an experiment in what becomes possible when people who know how to imagine, make, question, and begin turn those capacities toward public life.
More than one hundred founders have already shaped this early stage. Their ideas are helping define what comes next.
