UPDATE 04AUG26: it seems at least Louisiana has the gonadal fortitude to go after Fauci at his weak point.
Anthony Fauci’s presidential pardon does not generally protect him from civil liability. Biden’s warrant granted Fauci a “full and unconditional pardon” for any federal offences he may have committed between 1 January 2014 and 19 January 2025, provided they arose from his work as NIAID director, coronavirus-task-force member, COVID-response-team member, or presidential medical adviser.
Fauci is still vulnerable to civil tort and state-level criminal prosecution. However, he is never likely to face anything worse than a good pasting in front of Congress, in which he admits to absolutely nothing—not even the day of the week.
Josef Mengele was a German physician and SS officer whose name became synonymous with the medical atrocities committed at Auschwitz during the worst days of the Nazi regime. His early academic work focused on heredity, racial classification, and physical abnormalities—fields increasingly shaped by the pseudoscientific racial ideology of Nazi Germany.
Mengele was transferred in May 1943 to Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration camp. At Auschwitz, he participated in the selection of arriving prisoners, deciding within moments who would be assigned to forced labor and who would be sent directly for ‘medical’ experimentation. Survivors remembered his composed manner and immaculate uniform as he made decisions that condemned thousands to death. He became particularly notorious for experiments conducted on twins, children, people with dwarfism, and prisoners with unusual physical characteristics.
These experiments had little legitimate scientific value and were performed without consent, anaesthesia, or concern for survival. Victims were subjected to deliberate infection, unnecessary surgery, blood transfusions between twins, injections into the eyes, and other brutal procedures. Mengele’s work represented not medicine, but the corruption of medicine by racial ideology, state power, and complete contempt for human life.
As Soviet forces approached Auschwitz in January 1945, Mengele fled westward. He was briefly held by American forces, but was released because his identity as a wanted war criminal was not yet recognized. With assistance from networks that helped former Nazis escape Europe, he travelled to Argentina in 1949. He later lived in Paraguay and Brazil under assumed names, supported at various times by his family and sympathetic associates.
Despite extensive international efforts to locate him, Mengele was never brought to trial. He died in Brazil on 7 February 1979, after suffering a stroke while swimming. His remains were identified through forensic examination in 1985, and later confirmed by DNA testing.
Mengele’s life remains a stark warning about the consequences of subordinating medical ethics and scientific truth to political ideology. His crimes also contributed to the development of stronger international standards, known as the Nuremberg Code, governing informed consent, human experimentation, and the responsibilities of physicians, all of which were utterly ignored and forgotten in 2020 and 2021.
The COVID response demonstrated a related institutional danger: government officials used scientific authority to justify extraordinary restrictions upon bodily autonomy, movement, employment, education, and association.
Anthony Fauci helped develop and vigorously promoted the extreme measures, as well as a new ‘vaccine’ technology, defended population-wide restrictions, and supported mandates while important questions concerning transmission, durability, age-specific risk, ‘herd’ immunity, and rare adverse effects remained unresolved, at best.
The program was not legally classified as human experimentation, but it subjected entire populations to a compulsory medical intervention under incomplete long-term knowledge, with post-authorization surveillance serving to discover harms too uncommon or delayed to appear in the original trials. The relevant parallel with Nazi ‘medicine’ is the recurring danger of allowing state power, medical authority, institutional conformity, and an asserted collective necessity to override individual consent and suppress legitimate scientific dispute.
18 October 2019: Event 201 was conducted in New York by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, the World Economic Forum, and the Gates Foundation. It simulated a worldwide pandemic caused by a fictional coronavirus originating in pigs in Brazil. The exercise had been publicly announced on 21 August 2019.
18–27 October 2019: The 7th Military World Games took place in Wuhan, with more than 9,000 military athletes from over 100 countries. The opening day was the same day as Event 201, not before or after it.
31 December 2019: Chinese authorities formally notified the WHO of a cluster of unexplained pneumonia cases in Wuhan. This is the conventional public starting point of the recognized outbreak, although retrospective studies and reports have considered possible earlier infections.
5 February 2020: The Diamond Princess entered formal quarantine at Yokohama after a former passenger tested positive. Roughly 3,700 passengers and crew were ordered to remain aboard for a fourteen-day quarantine.
5–9 February 2020: The World Dream was held at Hong Kong while approximately 1,800 crew members were tested after passengers from an earlier voyage were diagnosed. Everyone was initially required to remain aboard; the ship was released after testing was completed.
Early–13 February 2020: The Westerdam was denied entry by Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Guam before finally docking in Cambodia.
24 March 2020: Three sailors aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt tested positive while the carrier was underway in the Philippine Sea—the first confirmed COVID-19 cases aboard a U.S. Navy ship at sea. The carrier subsequently diverted to Guam, where the outbreak expanded substantially.
There is a separate issue concerning military personnel who attended the Wuhan games. Later reviews found that several U.S. service members reported COVID-like illnesses during or after the games, and athletes from other countries also recalled respiratory illness. However, those cases were not contemporaneously confirmed as SARS-CoV-2 infections.
The coincidence on 18 October 2019 is undeniably striking. Chronology alone cannot demonstrate coordination or causation; however, it establishes the sequence and the opportunity, though means and motive must be inferred without evidence.
Mengele and Fauci were and are monsters. There is no excuse that can indemnify the horrors they unleashed. However, the real crimes were perpetrated by systemic and institutional actors that empowered and supported these monsters in their campaigns of sickening human experimentation.
It was elected officials and government agencies that employed such creatures, paid for mass ‘medical’ experimentation, enforced global suspension of even the most basic of human rights and dignity, and have refused in the aftermath to bring justice and relief to their victims.
Mengele and Fauci are only the most visible faces of the horrors they committed, but they are far from the only monsters in this story. Multi-national corporations like Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Moderna, global governments, agents and assigns, non-governmental organizations like WHO, the Gates Foundation and WEF, and thousands of nameless doctors and nurses who did not question or resist the institutional dictates are all guilty. Intent does not apply.
In the recent circus euphemistically called ‘hearings,’ every elected officer who sat on the panel is more guilty than Fauci, since they were the creatures who created the agencies, voted for budgets, enabled the regulations, and refused to provide meaningful oversight at any point along the way towards turning the entire planet into a concentration camp.
We may find it cathartic to watch Senators grill Fauci, but the truth is they were attempting to heap their own guilt onto a single public figure who was nothing more than a mouthpiece for those self-same Senators and the System they represent.
Mengele and Fauci are monsters. No amount of chaffing can deflect their culpability. However, it is the System itself in all its myriad parts that is under indictment. Acting alone, neither Mengele nor Fauci would have been able to promulgate their crimes, much less escape justice for them. That requires much larger and more powerful entities—seen and unseen—pulling the strings.
Though hanging two men would give us all a feeling of completion and satisfaction, it would do absolutely nothing to stop future abuses by the very systems we empower and submit to.
Mengele and Fauci are symptoms of a greater evil. It is We the People who created the institutions, pay the taxes that fund them, and blithely plant our butts on the couch to watch the circuses created for our entertainment. We buy the narradigm we create for ourselves. Fauci’s pardon does not cover state-level criminal prosecution, nor is he protected from class-action civil suit.
But then watching the circus is more fun and takes less effort, right?
