It’s a fit problem, not an effort problem. You’re not overwhelmed because you’re lazy or not trying hard enough. When a business fits how God wired you, the hard things still feel hard, but there’s an ease underneath the effort. When it doesn’t fit, everything takes more out of you than it should.

Stop running someone else’s playbook. Growing faster than you’re meant to, launching the way a coach launched, being on every platform because that’s what the gurus do. Comparison creates chaos, and every time you copy someone else’s assignment you inherit a business you were never meant to carry.

Find your zone of genius. Some tasks light you up and some drain the life out of you. Your greatest income lives in the handful of places where you’re gifted and energized. You burn out fastest forcing yourself to be someone you’re not.

Not every opportunity is your assignment. This one’s sneaky, because the things pulling you in a hundred directions are often good things. But good is not the same as God-called. Ask Him first, “is this for me in this season,” before you say yes.

Build from how God actually wired you. Your gifts, personality, experiences, and even your limitations all matter. Ephesians 2:10 says you’re His workmanship, created to do good works He prepared in advance. You’re not a rough draft to be edited into someone else.

PS: the reason you copy someone else’s business usually isn’t hustle, and it isn’t humility. It’s the quiet fear that the way God made you isn’t enough. It is.

Ephesians 2:10. “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” You were built on purpose, for works that already have your name on them.

Psalm 139:14. “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” God didn’t make a mistake when He made you, so stop trying to build as someone else.

Exodus-style honesty about “good” yeses. Rachel’s own story of saying yes to a prophetic council at church without asking God first, and the pain that followed, is the reminder: a godly opportunity can still be the wrong one for this season.

What am I only doing because someone told me I’m supposed to?
Look honestly at the tasks and strategies you’ve taken on. Some of them were never yours, you just inherited them from someone else’s playbook.

Where am I forcing a version of success that never fit me?
Notice where you’re spending energy just to override who you actually are. That’s usually where the overwhelm is living.

What gives me energy, and what consistently drains me?
The stuff that drains you and was never your assignment is what to delegate or cut. The stuff that energizes you and creates real impact is the shape of the business God designed for you.
