Julie didn't start out generous. She grew up around wealth, decided young that it wasn't all that helpful, and went into vocational ministry on a missional salary. By her mid-thirties, unmarried and watching the years pass, she was running on a scarcity mindset: what is my life, am I going to have enough?
Two years after her mom passed away, a friend's note challenged her to honor her mom by growing the quality she admired most in her, which was generosity. Then she walked into her first day at a generosity ministry and felt the irony land. She was surrounded by the conversation, and she wasn't generous. That was her doorway in. The heart came first, and the giving followed.

Generosity begins with the heart. What makes you generous is the condition of your heart and your willingness to trust God with what He’s already given you. Two people with the same bank balance can live completely differently here, and the difference is the heart, not the number.
Steward everything, not just a slice. Everything you have belongs to God: the income, the influence, the time, the platform. You hold all of it as a steward, so the real question becomes where He wants it to go.
Start giving now. Waiting until you’re wealthier rarely makes you more generous, it usually just moves the goalpost. Faithfulness starts with what’s already in your hands today, long before the version of you that “arrives” later.
From scarcity to abundance. A scarcity mindset runs on fear, so it clenches. An abundance mindset trusts God’s provision, so it can give freely. Julie walks through how that shift actually happens, and why it changes the way you lead and build.
Generosity beyond money. Your time, your encouragement, your wisdom, your hospitality all count as biblical generosity. Money is only one lane of it.

PS: the myth that giving is for “later” kept me small for longer than I’d like to admit. Real generosity grows from trust in the One who provides, and that trust is available to you right now.
What am I telling myself I’ll give “later”? Be honest about the finish line you’ve drawn. Bring it to your prayer time before you bring it to your budget.
Where am I holding God’s resources like an owner instead of a steward? Look at your income, your time, your influence. Ask Him what’s actually His to direct, and whether your hands are open or closed.
What could I give right now, with what’s already in my hands? Think past money: time, encouragement, wisdom, hospitality, the resource that’s in front of you today.
