We’ve reached an inflection point at Sanza. The beta testing has shown us what’s possible: women and people with periods are rethinking how they organise their work when they have the right tools to honour their cycles.
Our aim is to expand Sanza’s impact to shift how productivity works at its core - so that intuition, rest, and rhythm aren’t afterthoughts, but active parts of how we organise our days. Sanza helps you listen to your natural cycles and align your work with your strengths, turning productivity into something that supports both your goals and your wellbeing.
Funding will allow us to:
Strengthen the app’s foundations so it feels seamless in daily life.
Build new features that make cycle-centered working practical and intuitive, based on what our comminuty of beta testers is asking for.
Expand our reach so more founders, freelancers, and creators can work in ways that honour their cycles and strengthen their careers.
If you believe in what we’re building, here are two ways you can help:

Here’s what we’ve been up to lately:
🎤 Zurich University invited us to speak on a startup panel. We shared Sanza’s story and explored how feminist approaches to tech are not just necessary - but overdue.
🌲 We ran our first founders retreat with time to reflect, set intentions, and ask better questions about what we’re building and who it’s for.
📱 We’ve been iterating quietly on Sanza 2.0 - more on that soon.
For a fuller look at what we’ve been working on, see this post.
Books are part of how we stay grounded, critical, and inspired. Whether that’s non-fiction to for practical tips and thought peices, or fiction to dive into worlds built by others and lean into whimsy.
Aynsley has been digging into Data Feminism by Catherine D’Ignazio and Lauren Klein - a sharp, accessible rethink of how data can serve justice rather than power.
Astrid has been swept up in Light From Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki - a strange, soft, genre-blending novel that reminds us joy can be a form of resistance.
✨ We’re also running a Feminist Tech Reading Challenge on StoryGraph for the remainder of 2025. If you want to read with us (or just snoop our reading lists), click here.
Break tasks down by energy, not just priority.
Productivity often rewards urgency. But your energy isn’t flat across the month and neither are your strengths. Instead of one big item like ‘Launch website’, break it down into cycle-aware steps:
Design imagery and write copy → use follicular or ovulatory creativity
Edit and proofread → perfect for a luteal day, where your mind is primed for this
Publish and share → ride the momentum, just at menstruation hits and enthusiasm rises
Let your to-do list be flexible enough to meet you where you are, and strategic enough to support your strengths.
The Sanza community is building a future of work that’s intelligent, intuitive, and sustainable. Come along:
