Welcome back to Week 2 of The CRD Challenge!

Last week, you learned that your light environment has the most powerful influence on your circadian health.

You started gathering morning and evening sunlight, as well as reducing and filtering your exposure to artificial light at night.

Congratulations for sticking with it and making it to week 2.

Today, we’re going to expand on the understanding of how light influences your daily rhythms.

You’re also going to get the chance to start experimenting with the second most influential behaviour you can do for your circadian rhythm.

This new practice acts as a time cue—or zeitgeber—right alongside your daily light exposure and it’s something that is already a part of your everyday life.

This new cue you’re going to be working with is your eating window: the time between your first and last meals of the day.

That’s because after optimising your light environment, timing your meals correctly is the next most powerful thing you can do to improve your circadian health.

So, for this week of the challenge, we’re going to be doing a little more optimisation with your light exposure, as well as aligning your meals to the sun.
