1. Senioritis is one thing, but this I actually think is a particular social group dynamic situation. It’s really a group of 10-12 kids who aren’t acting right and the senior class is so small that this is a really influential group of people because it’s basically half of the students, and the most vocal ones. I hear a lot of teachers in the world making generational proclamations about their kids, but a small social group is just that, a specific dynamic.
2. But my real worry is their complete lack of savvy. If you’re gonna cheat, can you try even a little bit to hide it?
If you’re gonna copy, can you try to vary your words a bit?
College professors are, by and large, smart! They will catch and dismiss you very easily because a student is not worth the effort if they’re going to do that. Or they’ll just design assignments you can’t cheat on and pass.
Like, try harder! That’s the disappointing part!
