We’re pushing harder than ever to end hunting with hounds for good and our campaigning is making an impact.

Since 2023, we’ve published four groundbreaking reports exposing the reality of modern hunting. Our three annual hunting reports documented widespread evidence of foxes, deer and hares continuing to be chased despite the Hunting Act.

These reports have exposed:

• Trail hunting being used as a smokescreen for illegal hunting

• Violence and intimidation linked to hunts

• Road havoc and repeated traffic offences

• Inconsistent and inadequate policing

• The significant public cost of policing hunting events

• The constant threat that packs of hounds pose to wildlife

We also produced a first-of-its-kind report examining the forgotten victims of the hunting industry: the hounds themselves. It exposed serious concerns surrounding the treatment, exploitation and disposal of foxhounds.

But we haven’t stopped at publishing reports. We’ve delivered a petition signed by hundreds of thousands of people to Downing Street, helped ensure tens of thousands responded to the recent government consultation and exposed millions of people to the reality of hunting.

Protect the Wild receives no government funding, has no major corporate backers and, because of the nature of our campaigning, is ineligible for most grants. Everything we achieve is funded by people like you.
