10PM on Friday and in less than 48 hours I will blow out a candle and that will be my last light for 5 days.
Just me, myself, and I.
And some food and water.
I am going into this with a plan and my mantra is that I am actually walking into a very cared for environment and the safest place on the planet right now.
The only part I need to survive is my own mind.
I’ll spend 2 hours in the dark space tomorrow.
And on Sunday I will spend 2 hours and them come out for a few mins and re-orientate the room if I need to.
Than a candle will be lit and I will be closed in and once I am ready I will blow out the candle and begin 5 days of darkness.
The quote I keep thinking of is:
“Everyone has a plan till you get punched in the face”
And while I have created several systems, frameworks, and ways to pass the time if I am going to be honest I don’t know what is in front of me and I won’t till I come out on the other end.
Only about 100,000 people alive today have done a dark cave for 5 days or more. It’s well documented that Tibetan monks and greek soldiers practiced this ritual way of leaving the world outside and going within.
and so I will walk in on Sunday. Leave the world at the door and see what we shall work on within…
Do you think you could leave the world at the door?
PS: I would love to hear and read from you when I get out of the cave and know that someone took a few minutes to respond. Give me all the good news.
Let me hear all the good stuff. Do a little bragging.
I love to hear the people are doing well.
And if there is something in your business that is not working I would love to hear what it is because I have a lot of resources these days and I love to support where I can.
