Last week reminded us why we do this work. As four new dogs arrived at Dreamweaver Farms, we opened our gates-and our hearts-to stories shaped by loss, resilience, and hope. Though the days were busy, it was an honor to offer them more than refuge: a calm place to heal, patient care, and the chance to being again. Thanks to you and your belief in second chances, these dogs are now surrounded by love, and their futures are brighter because we are on this journey together.
Owner Releases
Jesse is an eight-year-old miniature poodle who came to us after his family’s circumstances changed in ways no one could have anticipated. His owners are facing serious medical challenges—one has entered memory care, while the other is courageously battling cancer. Even through these difficult times, they never stopped worrying about Jesse and wanted to make sure he was safe, loved, and cared for.
So, they turned to us to care for their beloved boy while we work toward finding him a new forever home. We are honored to be entrusted with him.
Jesse is a wonderful little guy who simply wants to be close to his person. He is a true velcro boy who may take a little time to warm up and feel comfortable, but once he does, you’ll have a devoted companion who will want to be right by your side. We think Jesse would make a wonderful companion for anyone, but especially a senior looking for a sweet, loyal buddy to share their days with.
Jesse will have a wellness check with Doc, although we don’t anticipate any major concerns. He was clearly loved and well cared for by his family.
Our hope is that, after his checkup and a little time to settle in, Jesse will be ready to begin the next chapter of his life—and that it won’t be long before he finds the loving forever home he deserves.
Breeder Releases
We recently welcomed three five-year-old toy poodles from the same breeder: Peaches, Penny, and Dusty Rose.
Peaches is a beautiful reddish-apricot toy poodle, Penny is a lovely red toy poodle, and Dusty Rose is an apricot toy poodle.
Peaches is the most outgoing of the three and has been the friendliest as she adjusts to her new surroundings. Penny and Dusty Rose are extremely shy and frightened right now, and we know that everything around them is new and unfamiliar.
For these girls, this is the beginning of a journey. We will give them the time, patience, kindness, and reassurance they need to learn that people can be trusted and that they are finally safe.
All three will see Doc for a complete wellness check. We already know that Dusty Rose is heartworm positive, so she will need to complete treatment before she can be placed for adoption. Thankfully, Peaches and Penny are heartworm-free, and we are hopeful that Doc will give them medical clearance.
As always, we will spend time getting to know each girl—watching how she interacts with other dogs and our caregivers and learning her individual likes, dislikes, and personality quirks.
We have welcomed dogs from this breeder before, and we expect these three may need significant time and patience to become comfortable and socialized with people. There is no timetable for that process. It could take weeks or months, depending entirely on each dog and her progress.
For now, our job is simply to give them a safe place to land and show them that life can be gentle.
When they are ready—when they feel safe, comfortable, and confident with people—we will begin looking for their forever homes.
Every dog deserves the chance to discover what it means to be loved, and we are so grateful to be part of that journey for these three girls.
