We've evolved a lot. And also not so much.
That sounds cynical, and sometimes I mean it that way, but not always. Less cynically, I'm reminding myself that humans remain animals. We have hard-wired emotional responses that evolved over hundreds of thousands of years but aren't always suited to our current environment.
We can choose how we react.
