Amerigeddon

Below are the first two entries in my art series Amerigeddon.

The US Empire is in decline, rotting from the inside out and beset from the outside by an increasingly powerful and cohesive group of states that are sick of being on the wrong end of its coups (not to mention its hypocritical moralizing), most notably China.

It’ll take a while yet for the US to reach the point of crumbling, but like empires before it, it’s lashing out in all directions as it tries to cling to supremacy—killing, smirking, threatening, cursing, and stomping its feet like a monster infant that’s being prevented from gorging on candy and the blood of its enemies (real and imagined).

In the process, it’s creating a growing crescendo of death and suffering the world over that I call Amerigeddon.

Let’s look at a few recent instances (in no particular order).

• A sadistic genocide on a trapped population in Palestine—a genocide that’s every bit as American as it is Israeli, with over 60,000people murdered including 20,000 children. It includes some of the most horrific war crimes every committed on the planet (like zip-tying the hands of children and then burying them alive, burning people alive, and leaving preemie infants to die and rot in their incubators while removing everyone else from the hospital) and it features the most exhibitionist sadists ever to post selfies and videos of themselves committing said war crimes.

• ICE agents swarming US neighborhoods, kidnapping people by the tens of thousands and once in a while shooting someone dead just for laughs. Having a highly politicized national police force in the FBI (leading provider of “terrorism” entrapment operations), and a multitude of murderous police forces (some infected with literal police gangs), wasn’t enough of a threat to the average citizen, so the government created a militia who wear masks and won’t show ID but still expect you to unquestioningly obey their every order if you don’t want to get stomped and deported. Or shot dead. Or just abducted to god-knows-where. Or raped and impregnated in custody. Or whatever they dream up next.

• A hat trick of international criminality:

  • the illegal kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro, a serving head of state,

  • an illegal and deadly siege on Cuba, and

  • an illegal war on Iran kicked off by the bombing of a girl’s school.

• Sentences of 30-100 years in jail for anti-ICE protestors, most of whom did little beyond making noise and carrying out minor vandalism, but all of whom are alleged to have belonged to an “antifa cell,” which is doubly absurd because (a) there’s no actual organization called antifa that you can belong to (it’s like saying a person “belongs to vegetarianism”) and, (b) as such, there are no “cells.” But hey, Trump has declared this non-organization to be a terrorist threat, so what could go wrong.

• By contrast, not a single person implicated in the Epstein Files is in jail apart from Ghislaine Maxwell, who is in a minimum security federal camp (Federal Prison Camp, Bryan for female inmates in Bryan, Texas), enjoying a relaxed environment with no security fences and a campus-like atmosphere where inmates are housed in dormitories rather than cells and are offered a variety of recreational and wellness amenities, including an athletic field, a library, vocational training, and programs that involve interaction with service dogs—luxuries she shares with a small circle of other privileged cons who are now her besties, like Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes.

• A president who, despite being an imbecile, has been elected twice, with (1) the oratorial skills of some douche catcalling women at a construction site and (2) a brain like a ham that’s been left out in the sun, but whose record on international violence is not all that much worse than the previous, allegedly non-imbecilic president, who is in an advanced stage of dementia, each of them leading a faction of the single American political party, both factions packed with parasites and vampires who don’t care who they kill and betray as long as they get rich.

• Repeated threats to annex Canada (I’m writing this from my home in Toronto) and Greenland, as though that’s just something the USA is entitled to do.

• The bombing and murder of innocent civilian fishing boat operators and crew in the Caribbean while alleging they’re drug dealers but without proffering even the tiniest bit of evidence or anything resembling legal process—just a bald assertion and murder.

• And, saving the best for last, the US’s leading role in the destruction of all human life on Earth (along with many other species) through the terminal degradation of our only sources of food, water, air, and other necessities of life (commonly called the environment) and the filling of our gonads and amniotic fluid with microplastics.

Things will undoubtedly continue to spiral downward toward hell for the foreseeable future, which means that the Amerigeddon series will continue to grow for quite a while yet.
