While searching for clothes for all three our of kids and us last night for an upcoming occasion, we started getting frustrated at our lack of options while going store to store to store. Thunder started to rumble outside as the clock ticked on. The evening grew later and later and we knew we were running out of time before we had to be back home and get everyone in bed. Before long, hunger set it, so we decided to call it a night and get some food. We ducked into one of our favorite Japanese restaurants and got a booth, and before long, we were all laughing together over spring rolls as the kids tried the spicy mustard sauce. It’s been a very, very difficult week for our family, but seeing them laugh and giggle across from us made everything feel a little lighter for a little while. They are everything in this life, and I’m not sure what we’d do without them.
Shopping for five when we would rather be doing anything else.
