Lots of Progress Happening!

After being gone for almost a month, we checked on the progress at our new build yesterday and OMG it is almost finished!!! Walls are up and painted, the floors are in and so are kitchen and bathroom cabinets, and it felt so good to see all that’s been completed while we were away. This is the first time we’ve ever handed pretty much every decision off to someone else and stepped back. The only thing we do is tell them which color we want the siding of the house to be or the color of the cabinets, and even then, we don’t have to do that; they could make those decisions for us. It’s been wonderful. And then right next door, the flip house we’ve been working on since December is ready to be listed for sale! We had our assistant do a deep clean while we were out of town and it looks and smells like a brand new house. It’s some such a long way from when we first bought it, and I can’t wait for the new owners to love it as much as we do.

PJ and I had a big disagreement yesterday evening about the way we go about handling a certain subject. We worked through it, apologized, apologized again, kissed, and made up, but man, marriage is no joke, is it? It’s constantly working through life together because you want to do it together, every day, day after day, no matter what. It always feels like we’re stronger after we work through whatever it is, and we’re better for it. Do you know what I mean?
