Blogging has just recently become something I do. I would wake up, and start thinking about what to write about today. Type a few lines of random thoughts, and hoping that these thoughts would spiral into something worth reading.

I remember watching this Casey Neistat video of him talking about how "doing something everyday is easier than not doing something everyday." His argument was: Doing something everyday does not involve decision making. "Do I do this TODAY?" And decision making is exhausting. It paves the path towards an excuse to not do the thing. His solution to this dilemma of "do I do this today" is to not even create the dilemma in the first place: Yes. You do it everyday.

And that "it" can be however small you'd like. You make the rules. Just keep the streak going. All of a sudden, the decision making becomes: How can I do this today (according to my own rules)?

For me these days, my rules have been the smallest step. Writing turns into typing a single sentence. Going out for a walk turned into stepping outside of the apartment. And for some unknown reason, I never just type a single sentence. I never just step outside of the apartment. A whole block of text would come flowing out of my mind. I would even go on jogging sessions.

Here's to doing something everyday.
