You are your community.

It's as simple as that. You may think, I am not actually my community. My community is another group of people that is not me. Well, that's actually quite not true. You do things that others will eventually see. When they see you do things, they will inevitably have reactions - inspiration, anger, empathy, joy, sadness. They will feel these things the same way you feel it when you set out for…

Never catching up to one's taste

How bad can it be? I mean seriously, how bad can one's writing be? I try to write with proper grammar, I try to not make typos. Someone who knows English can read this just fine without too much effort. What is wrong with it? No, seriously, if I write like this, who is to say this is bad writing? Now, I know that this isn't great writing, according to my own taste (I don't even know if it is a…

Building memories for future self

There is the big question of who I am as a person. Who am I? Well, a huge part of the answer comes down to what I do. More specifically, what I did. If I started to draw a little picture, and found that it was fun, and drew a bit more, bit by bit, day by day, my own memories of what I did would be filled up by me drawing. Eventually, I start to recognize myself as "the one who draws". What do you…

I just can't seem to stop writing!

I don't know. I just can't seem to stop writing! I think there has been a time when I keep over-thinking what I will do next. Thoughts come and go, and no actions have actually taken place. But once that mental block gets removed, things becomes much much easier. It's really strange. This experience of "mental block removed" came much sooner than I thought. At one point, writing became almost…

Doing something everyday is easier than not doing something everyday.

Blogging has just recently become something I do. I would wake up, and start thinking about what to write about today. Type a few lines of random thoughts, and hoping that these thoughts would spiral into something worth reading. I remember watching this Casey Neistat video of him talking about how "doing something everyday is easier than not doing something everyday." His argument was: Doing…

I want to get joybaited.

Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face than seeing two people going on a happy date and having fun. Or maybe them telling people about their date and feeling a bit awkward and shy about it. That and a cat doing literally anything. Makes me wanna go: "AWWW." Joybaiting is a real thing. We should get joybaited more. We should joybait each other more.

I praise you for your attempts.

Empathizing is hard. When I look inwards, I often see nothing. Stone cold. Dark. I hear nothing. It's silent. Maybe a few tinkering sounds here and there. I can't see or hear myself. Not my past self. Not my present self. I can't see others or hear others either. To me, what they do and say feels distant. I am an observer in this world. What am I to them? What are they to me? I look at myself…

I am playing Celeste for the first time!

"This game is hard. Ugh." I do have a tendency to give up on things that were hard for me in the past. So I was not surprised to stop playing it after the first hour. But I do want to remind myself that maybe it is worth the effort to push through and see what I will get on the other side. I want this game to be a safe experiment of trial and error. If I die, then I'll try again. If I feel too…

It felt like a normal day.

I did not feel like doing much today so I watched Frieren. Someone gave me a hug. Did some coloring and drawing on flower pedals. Did not go outside for a walk. Felt anxious for a short period of time, but I did notice that it's not that scary anymore. Looked around tiny corners of the internet for pretty blog / neocity / webring sites. Sometimes it's nice to write about simple things, isn't it?

Drowning in thoughts

I don’t know how to swim. I never learned it as a kid. My parents paid for a swimming course back then but I did not really work hard to get over my fear of having to let go of my feet from the bottom of the pool. So I had this wrong habit of trying to touch the bottom of the pool with my toes for a split second every time I came up to the water surface to breathe. I believe people around me were…
