When was the last time
you listened to your fingerprints
through clear eyes and sunshine?
No?
Me neither...
Until today.
Do you want to know what I heard?
It sounded something like
If I can whisk up such singular lines,
what's to stop me from holding it all?First, I invite you to read today’s poem slowly 2-3 times. What word, phrase, or image draws your attention, brings rise to an emotion or a memory, or provokes resistance?
Spend a few moments gazing at the image of the yarrow bloom above the poem. What do you notice? Where are your eyes drawn? How do you find the image interacting with the words of the poem?
Over the past 24 hours, where have you noticed God’s presence in your life, God’s fingerprints? Consider prayerfully reviewing your day, asking the Spirit to hold a blacklight over each moment, highlighting evidence of Creator-Sets-Free’s (Jesus’s) nearness.
