Better Days Will Come

A few days ago I was recruited to MC and to sing a couple of songs for the City of Bath’s “No Kings Day” event on March 28. The first song was a no brainer (if you have not seen the video of “Got to Change This World” you can check it out in an earlier post). But I was bellyaching about the second one. I wanted something the crowd could join in singing. Should I haul out “The Times They Are a Changing”? (It’s a great song, but I didn’t really want to play it). On Monday morning about 3 AM I woke up with a new song in my head, which I almost put off writing down until morning. But a voice in my head said, “NO! Get up and write in NOW!” So I did, and I was lucky enough to book time with master recording engineer, Jud Caswell, at his Frog Hollow Studios the following day. Here is the result.
