A few weeks ago, someone who doesn’t particularly like me, sent me a recent review of my woefully lacking approach to the Bible and Christian theology, hoping it might set me straight.

A few months ago, I made a decision that felt both significant and strangely natural: after many years of teaching undergraduates at Eastern University, I accepted a position at Eastern’s seminary, Palmer Theological Seminary.

If you listen to enough Christian media, you’ll start to believe that Christianity in America is under siege—attacked from the outside by secularism, atheism, progressive politics, or, more broadly, “the culture.”
