Hi friends,
For those of you new here, welcome. I’m Steena. This space is where I share writing, motherhood, and the quiet work of pencil and persistence in the middle of it all. And sometimes, it’s in the slowing down that inspiration shows up most clearly.
This was one of those moments.
When I shared a few photos of a baby deer nestled in our yard, I simply wanted to document a special moment. We observed from a distance, careful not to disturb the little one, knowing mama was nearby and keeping watch. 🌿
What I didn’t expect was the incredible response.
The post received over 4,000 likes and so many thoughtful, heartwarming comments. 💛 I never imagined this little visitor would touch so many people or remind us all to slow down and notice the beauty that can be right in front of us.
Thank you for all the love you’ve shown this sweet fawn.
And right after sharing that first post, something really sweet happened.
As I read through all of your comments, my kids noticed how many people were already calling the fawn “Little Precious.” They looked at each other and decided it was the perfect name.
So Little Precious it is. 💛
Since that first post, Little Precious has returned to our yard every day.
Each morning, my kids and I find ourselves peeking outside, wondering if we’ll catch another glimpse. Sometimes Little Precious is resting quietly. Other times, there’s a little more movement and curiosity.
Every time we see Little Precious, it feels like a gift. 🎁
One of the sweetest moments we’ve witnessed was watching Little Precious stay close to mama.
There’s something so sweet about seeing that bond and being reminded that small, special moments are happening all around us every day. 🌿
I think part of the reason Little Precious resonated with so many people is that this tiny visitor reminded us to pause.
Life moves quickly. We rush from one busy thing to the next, often missing the small wonders.
But sometimes beauty appears in unexpected places.
🌱 A bird building a nest.
🦋 A butterfly landing nearby.
🦌 A tiny fawn tucked safely in the grass.
Moments like these make us slow down, look a little closer, and really notice the beauty right in front of us.
Thank you for celebrating Little Precious with us.
It’s amazing that one small fawn resting in our yard could bring together so many people from different places.
Little Precious may have started as a quiet visitor in our yard, but somehow this tiny fawn reminded thousands of us of something important:
Thank you for following along on this sweet journey. I’ll be sure to share more updates if Little Precious keeps stopping by. 😊🦌💛
Thanks for being here with me.
