Steamy summer hillsides

Happy Thursday,

Last week I wrote about AI text. I don’t use it. This is all me - not as slick as a text writing robot, but hopefully more personal. After I wrote that post, my super talented art and music friend, Brian Keeler quoted me on his blog. He wrote a thoughtful article on big tech and data centers. You can find that article here. Brian has open events at his art studio on Snyder Hill Rd where there is often music, like this one coming up on August 22nd - worth a visit!

I have a photograph on display as part of Ithaca Gallery Night (5-8pm Aug 7th) for the Greater Ithaca Art Trail in the CAP Art Center on Tioga Street. and I will be there in person for a while on Gallery Night, which is tomorrow. The display will be up for the month of August and is also online. The photo I chose is also included in my 2027 Botanical Calendar available at Handwork - also open for Gallery night this month.

Metku will be playing Finnish dance music at the Ithaca Farmers Market from 11am-2pm on Sunday August 23rd. www.metku.org

O’Shanigans will be making appearances for Cornell and HandsFour Contra Dances. Details still pending on those autumn dance events, stay tuned! www.oshanigans.org

We had such a blast last night at the Wed Jam session here at my studio. Nice age mix and great energy. We’ll do it again next week.
