But it can also be a lot of fun, despite the hectic schedule of this party then that party then that party (just terrible, I know)… 😂

Also, I’ve literally had three exhibitions opening in three weeks, which has been absolutely bonkers getting work done, ready for exhibition, etc. First up was the Winter Small Works Show at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, I had three paintings of moody florals in that (they sold a week later, so now I have new work in the exhibition). Then I had eight paintings go into the new gallery at the Orca Spirit Adventures whale watching company, including the Reflections Collection that will raise money for the Whale Interpretive Centre in Telegraph Cove. And today I have the third exhibition of three cutie patootie marine mammals (sea otter, river otter, and harbour seal pup) at the Little Gems exhibition put on by the Victoria Arts Council. Aaaaaand I’ve also been busting my tail for weeks to get more art prints on my website. I’ve probably spent a couple hundred hours the past few weeks scanning, editing, figuring out sizing and pricing, etc for all my new artwork. It had been a looooong while since I’d added new art prints to the site, and with the confusion/chaos around shipping to the US these days from Canada, it was all very hard to figure out. But thanks to a wonderful US-based customer who ordered the adorable Woodland Hedgehog print, we figured out that my Canadian-based printer’s promise that the prints would be shipped tariff-free was accurate. Things change so fast, so it’s so hard to know what will happen in practice, so I genuinely appreciate this customer’s willingness to trust that the print would arrive tariff-free. Technically art prints are included in the CUSMA/USMCA free-trade agreement, but with things changing almost daily it’s hard to know how things will work out. She got her print with no issues, which just makes me so happy. ❤️ And as with all my original art now, a portion of all proceeds will be donated to marine conservation and education organizations.
So, I’m soooo pleased to announce that after allllll that work, the website now has almost forty art prints available! 😍 Most are available on both fine art paper and canvas prints, but a few still need to get set up on the printer’s end as the canvas prints for those paintings need a custom size. So the listings for those will be updated once I can actually order the custom canvas size, but everything is available on fine art paper at least.
I hate that this is SUCH a short deadline (as I said I have been working on this project for weeks), but if you were wanting art prints to be delivered before Christmas, orders must be placed on my website by the end of day December 7 (this Sunday). This only applies to US and Canadian deliveries — outside of those two locations I’d have to contact the printer to get a quote for shipping, so there wouldn’t be time to do that, make sure you’re ok with it, invoice you for the order, etc before the printer’s deadline. I really wish I could have given people more of a heads up, but I only found out the printer’s deadline about a week ago, right in the middle of getting everything ready to add to the site. Obviously, if you don’t really care if something arrives before Christmas, you can order any time. Usually the printer will be closed for a few weeks at the end of December-early January, if you have any questions please feel free to reach out. 🥰
