I’m currently sitting in my room surrounded by half-packed boxes, in a state of mild / significant overwhelm, and also in complete understanding of why this is the month I’m moving not only houses but towns.
There is something fitting about writing a June forecast from the middle of a half transitioned belonging.
June asks us to widen our bandwidth for the new.
Starting with a deeper receptivity to what’s possible, to our own potential, and to letting joy in, despite the horrors, yes. Joy.
Dangerous stuff.
The Venus-Jupiter Conjunction in Cancer: June 10th (NZST)
I’m most excited about Venus and Jupiter meeting at 25° Cancer on June 10th.
This is seeding of a new story about belonging and what it means to feel truly nourished, valued and cared for. It’s also a visible conjunction in the night sky, so please, look up.
Stand outside and feel what moves through your being. Take stock of where you have been cultivating a deeper sense of true safety in the Cancer part of your chart, and notice what blessings you are ready to let in.
Cancer rules the 4th house of home, roots, and family. Its’ also the sign of the Mother and the protective shell that wraps around our soft and sensitive insides.
Before we can fully receive, before joy can land, something in us needs to feel safe enough to open.
Venus and Jupiter did also meet in Cancer on August 12th, 2025, so it’s worth reflecting on any themes from that time which are now evolving.
The collective energy then felt more tense. Venus was a dynamic morning star, and themes around fierce nationalism and “homeland” were amplified accordingly.
Now she is an evening star, and her quality has shifted a lot. Less passionate, more radiant. More compassionate.
There is a receptivity available now that wasn’t quite accessible before, the 10th is a day for ritual, for opening the heart, for letting the heavenly chi flow in.
Cancer, Receptivity, and the Feminine
Cancer can go too far with its protective impulses, and it’s worth becoming conscious of how our inner and outer protection mechanisms are sometimes running our lives rather than cultivating the genuine felt safety that allows feminine vitality to move freely.
Boundaries and walls are not the same thing.
The term parasympathetic arousal comes to mind as I contemplate how feminine biology erotically responds best to a state of relaxation. Opening into flow states, full body pleasure, and creative aliveness generally requires a felt sense that we do not need to be vigilantly scanning for danger. By regularly creating space to feel what is present, through yin yoga, soft movement, long baths, self-massage, anything that signals safety to the body, we cultivate a deeper sense of being at home in ourselves.
This is the inner ground that everything else grows from.
Venus Enters Leo: June 12th (NZST)
On June 12th Venus moves into Leo. Yes. Get your hair and claws done.
Leo is the Sun-ruled sign of the child, of pleasure, creativity, and joy and authentic self- expression.
But here is the thing about Leo joy: it can only truly arise from within a felt sense of safety otherwise it’s just glamour magic.
Cancer, the sign Venus is leaving, is the one that builds that ground.
The two signs are not separate chapters; they are a sequence.
We receive first. Then we shine.
When Venus enters Leo, that creative urge can rise up into something playful and genuine, something done for the sheer joy of it, rather than for performance or validation. Leo has its defences too. Drama, egoic posturing, and the performance of confidence rather than it’s embodiment.
What we’re moving toward this month is something more real than that.
We may be finally ready to be seen, in love, in our worth, in our pleasure, in our joy, not because we have earned it, but because we have come home to ourselves enough to let it simply radiate from us.
Jupiter Enters Leo: June 30th
Jupiter follows Venus into Leo on the 30th, where it will remain for 12 months.
This is a significant shift.
Jupiter in Leo is going to ask us to lean into confidence and vitality in new ways, to expand into self-expression, generosity of spirit, and a kind of luminous visibility that isn’t about performance but about presence.
More on this as we move into July, but begin to feel into it now, where have you been playing small, and what might open if you let yourself take up a little more light?
Other Movements This Month
Chiron makes its first entry into Taurus on the 20th, giving us a taste of medicine that says: value is tangible, it is felt from the inside out, and we cannot eat money. I expect food security and questions of material sustenance to grow louder during this seven-year transit.
Watch for early headlines in June and July.
The shortest/longest day arrives with the solstice as the Sun enters Cancer on June 21st, deepening the collective turn inward and toward home.
Mars enters Gemini on the 28th, quickening our thinking and our speech, useful energy for the conversations this month is likely to stir up.
The month closes with a Capricorn Full Moon and Mercury stationing retrograde in Cancer.
The Thread Running Through
The key theme of June is the Cancer to Leo transition: From receiving to shining, from inner ground to outer expression, from safety to joy.
These are not opposites. They are a natural unfolding, one that the body already knows, if we give it the conditions to move.
Let this be a month of both.
Tend your roots.
Then let yourself bloom.
Enjoy these last moments of Jupiter in Cancer and this lovely playlist which has been such a fav of mine for almost a whole year.
