Hey-ho~! Rysor rysor! I'm sorry I'm so late!
Tanabata has finally arrived1, and with it, a minor announcement:
Somehow, on this Tanabata day, the impossible has happened.
Not something on the level of someone appearing from the future to help a middle school girl vandalize her school to talk to aliens, but something far stranger:
That's right: I've finally finished something huge, beginning to end! This isn't another preview release, but the whole book! And book it is — I had initially planned for this to be around 20,000 to 40,000 words, but somehow, it exploded in size to over 55,000 words. Apparently, that's just barely enough to be considered a novel! By all means, writing something that massive should be well beyond my capabilities. It could only happen on such a mystical day as this, as Tanabata...
I'm a little nervous about releasing something so huge and personal to me unto the unsuspecting and hypercritical public, but to be honest, I'm mostly just excited. I don't think the fact that I've just finished and released an entire novel (fanfiction though it may be) has quite hit me yet. To be fair, though, that may be because I'm not exactly "done" yet. This silly little idea didn't just explode into a 55,000 word novel... it exploded into around six of them. This is just book one — there's a boatload of story I want to tell, and a massive load of Yuki to pack into it! This first volume might seem a bit light and fluffy, but fear not: this is just an intro.
For the most part, it's all downhill from here.
Until next time, though, I hope you'll enjoy the beginnings of my Yuki's self-expression!
Incidentally, I'm not sure why, but I'm starting to think I like Yuki a little.

I missed the traditional Haruhiist date, but I managed to make it in time for the traditional lunisolar date! ... In Texas. It's already passed in Japan... ^^;
