This is less of a post, more of an announcement for some more upcoming events. Do spread the word to anyone you know who lives in or near these fine cities:
Wednesday 11 February, 6:30pm – Durham, UK – Collected Books. This is a book club meeting, and Ruth Clarke and I will be coming back together to discuss the book with people who’ve already read it. Cannot wait. It’s FREE, too, so if you’re Durham-based, book here.
Thursday 12 March, 7:00 pm – Nottingham, UK – Five Leaves Bookshop. If you’ve been wanting to make a trip to this City of Literature and an insane amount of caves, inhabited for 1000 years and well into the 19th century. Whoa! Book event here.
Friday 8 May, 5:30 pm – Oxford, UK – Blackwell’s Bookshop. Looking ahead, I’ll be in conversation with Tamar Koplatadze, author of Postcolonial Identities in Central Asian and Caucasian Literature (just out, order it for yourself or your local library) and Oliver Ready, who was my translation mentor and recognised the unsettling beauty of White Moss back in 2021 (get his recent Gogol collection here) Book event here.
More dates to come; I am on a roll with this. If you’re not UK-based but will be in or near Canada in early April, the reindeer and I will soon be coming to a bookshop near you!
