The Ethereum Foundation has signed off on the first milestone of OrbitDB's encryption development.
This brings OrbitDB one step closer to modular encryption out-of-the-box.

OrbitDB's replication service, Voyager, is currently being tested by end-users. If you are a developer who is considering a migration to decentralized storage but would like to make the data your users generate available when they are offline, you can help us test Voyager.

OrbitDB participated in the Giveth Octant Public Goods quadratic funding round. The amount raised will be used to help fund OrbitDB's 2025 roadmap.
Riff.cc has contributed server infrastructure to OrbitDB for testing, demonstrations, proof-of-concept development and benchmarking.

OrbitDB is an open-source project, built, maintained and supported by a core team of developers who are also community members. We aren't financed by big investors and we don't have a cryptocurrency token. Instead, we rely on the contributions of donors to keep this project moving ahead.
