Today’s men excel at stepping on their own dicks.
Like a salesman who has the sale locked up and somehow fucks it up. “Sure, I’ll buy the car.”
“Well, let me tell you about the gas mileage.”
“I already said I’d buy the car.”
“Oh, did you know we also feature it in blue?”
“I can pay cash.”
“We also have these other models you might be interested in…”
“You know what? Keep your fucking car.”
Like one time in Silicon Valley, I got tied up at work and missed lunch with the guys. So I ate a late sushi lunch alone.
The guy at the next table over, obviously with a date, was trying to woo this chick. And he started demeaning the waitress. “Is your sushi fresh? Because I could tell if the sushi has been frozen.”
I saw her roll her eyes. Pretty sure he blew that one. So I’m going to list 9 anti-seductive traits and you can guess which one this guy fell into.
I’m also going to tell you that anti-seduction isn’t just about getting laid. It’s a great way to lose a sale. Or a job interview that you should have nailed. Or a potential friend or client.
Two are physical and the others are mental.
Last Silicon Valley job, one of my co-workers got mugged, beaten up, and got his wallet and laptop stolen. I saw him a few days later with his face all bruised up and his arm in a sling.
He was almost a foot taller than me and outweighed me by 40-50 pounds.
But everything about him screamed “victim.”
We had the same train stop. I wasn’t there when he got mugged. Just heard about it later. And saw the damage to his face and body.
For one, a man should have situational awareness. He should know who’s around him. Who’s safe. Who’s a potential threat.
For another, judge a book by its cover. It may save your life.
If two guys look like thugs, they’re probably thugs. Put your fucking phone away and move.
This guy had “cell phone neck.”
Find a good local chiropractor. They’re worth their weight in gold.
Also, you might want to read this article on body language and sexiness. They go hand in hand. Bad body language also screams victim. I remember seeing a study done on prisoners watching videos and they generally agreed which people they’d target.
And you know what it was? Weak body language. They looked like an easy target.
I’ve known a lot of men in their 30s in Silicon Valley who were still virgins.
Imagine making over $300k a year and still not being able to get laid. How did they do that?
You’d think it would be one of life’s great mysteries. But there sure were a lot of them.
One couldn’t shut up. He talked as much as the four dumb chicks on The View combined. Except he couldn’t even attract their low IQ audiences. Women looked for any excuse to get away from him.
Women like having a conversation. Conversation implies going both ways. Not being two ears and no mouth. There’s an old saying that “God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason.” Apparently, this guy didn’t get the memo.
I know there’s going to be some holier than thou dork who gets offended by this, but I’m just stating a fact.
Your virgin girlfriend you met at church?
Virgin?
You really believe that?
I’ve had my share of “virgins” when I was in high school and college. Church girls who wanted to learn what to do but didn’t want it to get back to anyone at their church. Because the last thing they wanted was a lecture from one of them.
And you know what?
Most of them weren’t even virgins when I met them. But they’ll tell their future husband they were virgins.
They told me the truth. Do you know why?
Because I didn’t judge. AND, I kept my mouth shut.
“That was fun. If you ever need to practice again, you know my number.”
And that was that. I will never disclose their names. Because that’s how I’m wired.
People have confessed some crazy ass shit to me. But I will never disclose any of it. Even the one girlfriend who I hate with a passion. Yes, still to this day. Hate her guts. But I’ll still never disclose what she told me. And yeah, she told me some heavy stuff.
Dies with me.
If they know you’re going to give them a lecture, they’ll look elsewhere.
It’s weird how so many men don’t understand that simple statement.
Let’s say I’m meeting someone I’ll eventually interview.
We’re at dinner. The waitress greets me with a huge hug. The bartender comes over, pats me on the back and shakes my hand.
Then the guy I’m thinking of interviewing?
He stiffs the waitress.
I don’t care how talented the guy is. I don’t want to work with him.
Stringiness is a character flaw.
Turns off women too. Big time.
On a subconscious level, they know a stingy man isn’t a good hunter. He can only do one thing - scavenge.
Let’s never ever forget one thing, my friends. Humans are animals. And a lot of this stuff we understand on a primal level.
Successful hunters turn on women. Scavengers turn off women.
You’ve heard horror stories about this guy. Your hot cousin tells you she wants him out of her life. Because he won’t give her any space.
He’s needy. Clingy.
And she adds “gross.”
Because neediness and clinginess are the farthest things from masculine traits.
Men are self-sufficient. Sure, we’ll often work in teams. We’re a social species after all.
But if you see a man who can’t pull his own weight, who has to depend on everyone else to get by, you’re not going to think very highly of him.
To her?
Even worse. He’s figuratively choking her to death.
She wants to move to France if that’s what it takes to get away from him.
Walk into the room like you belong there.
That’s how I attracted my wife.
I didn’t know one person at the party. I was cheating on my blonde big-titted girlfriend at the time. Because she was being a pain in the ass.
We were in Los Angeles together on what should have been a vacation but she couldn’t let something go.
So I said “I’m going out.” I didn’t tell her where I was doing. I just went out.
California in the 80s and 90s was paradise on Earth. Everyone was cool back then. “California cool” used to be a thing. It ain’t anymore. But it used to be a real thing.
I crashed a party I heard about from someone I knew in Los Angeles. I saw 3 guys with open body language. And I walked up to them like I was someone important and just started talking.
Well, next thing you knew, we looked like all 4 of us were old friends and the 3 were talking to me.
That’s when Anna saw me. This one guy who everyone was talking to.
The exact opposite of awkwardness.
And nine months later, we had a child.
If you want to get over awkwardness, you need to consistently do two things. 1. talk to everyone. Some people will ignore you. Fuck them. Talk to someone else then. 2. talk to everyone. Some people will open up to you. Keep talking to them. They’re now your pals.
And yes. Some people are pals for the night. That’s yet another reason I’m not anti-sports like every single Twitter guru is. Sports is a great opener. Anna and I have had so much fun at Super Bowl parties in Silicon Valley. We’d always throw money on the table at the games. Win or lose, who cares? Just enjoy the moment.
We especially loved seeing games live. We’ve seen everything from Las Vegas Raiders games to minor league soccer and baseball.
But the key here is to be able to talk about anything.
Music?
Sports?
Travel?
Cars?
Art history?
Relationships?
I just avoid politics and religion because people take those too seriously.
But be comfortable talking about several subjects.
When someone’s at a party and I could tell they’re struggling, I’ll talk to them. Then find something they’re comfortable talking about.
You’d be surprised how grateful they are to be included with the cool kids.
So my hot party tip is rather than trying to fit in, look for the guy or gal who’s struggling. Then, make them feel welcome.
And BAM! You got a new friend.
Los Angeles in the 2000s was a blast. I learned how to play soccer. I got really good at soccer because if you’re fast, you’re eventually going to pass up people who are slow. Even if they played their entire lives.
Speed >
Of course, it takes time. You still have to learn basic footwork and passing.
But I’m so fast that I only really had two moves - inside and outside. Since I was a defensive back in American football, I knew to watch the body. Whichever way the hips are set to go, that’s where the body’s going.
So I had a split second to decide if I’m going to beat this guy inside or outside. And since I was twice his speed, it became easy. “Later dude!”
Well, Friday nights, we’d play beach volleyball with a group of people. About 60% dudes, 40% chicks. And several of the chicks were pretty hot.
I was already married by then so not looking. But one time, a guy who showed up from my work. I had no idea if he was good or not.
But when his team started losing, he started throwing a tantrum. A grown ass adult throwing a fit at a fucking beach volleyball game. A game none of us took too seriously because it was Friday night and we’d already started drinking.
Needless to say, we never invited him back.
I heard he was really smart too but I’d never hire him. I don’t care about his skill sets.
And one of my friends there was a hot chick. You should have seen how unattracted she was for him. He might as well have rolled in dog shit.
Gentlemen, get your pheromones in order. Humans are animals. We’re only a few thousand years removed from civilization. Which is geological time is a mere blip.
I had an ex who was so into me that she loved fucking right after I’d get home from my physical labor job. I’d be covered in sweat, grease, and drywall and she’d want to do it then and there, before I could even rinse off.
It’s pheromones, Gentlemen. You’re attracting women on a primal basis.
And if you’re pheromones ain’t in order, they’ll do more harm than good. So get them right.
But if they are in order, you’re going to attract women on a primal basis.
A man needs to make decisions. That’s what men are supposed to do.
Decide what you want. Then go out and get it.
Nothing will dry up a woman faster than watching some guy look at a restaurant menu for ten minutes.
It’s also why I write articles like she’s coming over for the first time, so even if you don’t have much experience, you come across like you’ve done this before.
Pick something. And stand by your decision.
Want to know one of life’s biggest tips?
It’s ok to make a mistake.
We all do. All the time.
And it’s ok.
Just make a fucking decision. And stick with it.
I told everyone months ago I was going to make a magazine. I had no idea what I was doing.
But I’m so confident in my work ethic that I knew I could figure it out.
Like plumbing. Anna said we needed to clean the P-trap in one of the sinks. Instead of saying “I’ve never done that before,” I simply looked up first what a P-trap was, then how to fix it on YouTube.
Wing it.
In life, that’s what we’re all doing anyways. We’re all just winging it.
This article is entirely free except for the nudes. Social skills are getting worse. I can’t believe how many young people freeze at routine social interactions.
And no. It doesn’t have to be this way.
Chik Fil-A is full of young people. Yet everyone who works the register can talk.
Same with Ace Hardware. Half the people working there are in their 20s but every single one of them can carry a conversation. So I don’t buy the “it’s every young person.” That’s bullshit.
You either commit to social skills. Or you get left behind.
We’re a social species. The better you get at communicating, the easier life gets. The more money you’ll make. And the easier it is to meet cute girls.
And it especially applies for jobs. I got three contract jobs from those Los Angeles beach volleyball games. Yes, I have gotten jobs from recruiters as well but percentage wise, the majority have been through friends.
Plus the interviews are significantly easier because people don’t like to piss off their workmates. If they know you’re his pal, the interview process will be much more smooth.
Build those networks, my friends. Networks make your life much easier.
