As we all know the snow in the west has been anything but normal this winter… so when I looked at my children’s winter breaks I had the bright idea to spend three weeks with my dad in Naples while my three children circulated in and out.

Many people think the Gulf Coast is the sleepier side of south Florida… and they maybe right… which is fine by me! There is plenty of sand, restaurants and shops to go around- but slightly less pretense and traffic. My favorite spots I always hit when spending time on Naples include:

SHOP:

  • Perch - A hometown (Vai) favorite that recently opened in Naples. Lucky us!

  • A Mano - home, clothes, tabletop, just amazing all around!

EATS:

  • Chez Boet (don’t miss the French lentil salad and the Seafood Tagine)

  • Mediterrano (mediterranean food with Greek influence)

I had a longing for old friends (Hello Linda!) and Mahjong (who doesn’t) and invited myself to my dear friend’s home in West Palm Beach for a few days. I was in for a treat! Linda gave me the insider tour of West Palm; think of PB being UES and WP being West Village. Need I say more?

SHOPS:

  • Tuke Bazaar- Magic in a bottle; clothes, jewelry, home decor… curator Tuke is too cool for school!

  • Show Pony- A feast for your eyes, vintage daze for days.

  • The Bungalow by Gypsy- Hard to put into words this cool space… retail meets apothecary meets upscale Paris flea market, with a side of sound bath/yoga… you have to go to understand https://www.thebungalowbygypsy.com

  • The Hive- His/Hers/Home/Market- Ultimate eye candy in every category!

  • Casa Gusto- The most unique home decor shop, full of proprietary designs all mostly made in France and Mexico for the store. Some of the most beautiful pottery I have ever seen.

  • Pelimingo (PB)- Women owned and designed jewelry, a golden gem of a spot

  • Kai Lassen (PB)- If a cowboy and a beach bum had a baby… great hats made for the beach and the mountains https://kailassen.com
