I just got back from a 5 day trip to Colorado, two nights in Vail visiting Cynthia, one in Denver and two in Colorado Springs looking at colleges with my high school junior. It was a big reminder of how much I love this state!
Highlights included:
A Mahjong “intensive” 3 day course with my friend and Mahjong “master” Brooke Domich.
A Valentine’s Day lunch with the girls at Alpenrose in Vail Village followed by a quick shop at Perch Vail (both mentioned in our Vail Oliver Guide.)
Meeting and creating with Tessa of Tessa’s clogs in Minturn (just outside of Vail)
Discovering the LoDo neighborhood of Denver, anchored by a stay at The Crawford Hotel which I would describe as charming, hip, well-appointed and a bit quirky.
Lunch with college friends at Mercantile in the LoDo neighborhood.
The western styled belt I bought at Rockmount Ranch Wear— it was hard to stop at a belt, I could have come home a cowboy!
Coffee, breakfast and lunch (I kept going back!!!) at The Exchange in Colorado Springs.
The running trails… in Colorado there is ALWAYS one near by!
The weather— we saw it all as one does in Colorado! Sun, snow, wind…. and sun again!
And of course, a power session with Cynthia, discussing all things, including travel and what we can share with all of you next!
