Cassie Smith · Crafting & Quilting Deals

Hey there, Gorgeous!

Thanks for your patience with this week’s newsletter arriving a little late - I’ve been under the weather the past couple of days and am finally feeling human again!

So… let’s not waste any more time and get to the deals!

(Please note… the deals and prices in this newsletter are accurate at the time of sending, but are subject to change at any time. Some of the links in this newsletter are affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission from qualifying purchases).

  2. For my machine embroidery friends who like to go “off-roading” and make their own projects, you need to check out Embroidery Library’s sale on Blank Designs (happening now until August 17th).

You can find in-the-hoop files for coasters, bookmarks, keychains, and more for $2.00 or less. Once you have the blank file, you can add any of your favorite applique designs to make it truly one-of-a-kind!

I also want to point out that Embroidery Library has marked their best-selling designs down to half-off. I adore the Pooh Bear sketches pack (those quilting designs?!?! I mean, C’MON!), and I can also see myself getting a lot of mileage out of the Handmade Humor Quilt Labels pack.

  3. I’m seeing TONS of discounted pre-cuts at Southern Fabric. You’ll specifically want to look at the 50% off section for cute Lori Holt and other Riley Blake Collections.

  4. I don’t see name-brand Oliso products go on sale very often, so I was excited to see this wool pressing mat on sale for $23.79 (normally $27.00; affiliate link).

I like the 14x14” size, and it looks pretty thick in the review pictures. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market for a good mat.

  5. I’ve had a couple people ask me to include gifts for upcoming quilting retreats, so these are a few things I think would be fun to put into welcome gifts:

    - Sewing themed socks - get this pack of 8 pairs for $13.99 on Amazon (affiliate link)

    - Cute pens and pencils, because who doesn’t love good writing utensils? I love these pastel Ticonderoga pencils and these bright Pilot G7 pens! (affiliate links)

    - Thread Snips are always great to have on hand, or seam-rippers (affiliate links)

    - And, if your retreat is overnight, eye masks are so much fun! I like these ones with the glitter. There are a lot of options out there, so you can’t go wrong with anything that’s hydrating and unscented (affiliate links)

  6. Speaking of Amazon deals… have you tried one of these reading neck lights? I’ve had one in my cart for ages, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. It looks like it would be so helpful when you’re working up close, and at $9.98 (normally $15.99; affiliate link), I might have to give it a go!

  7. If you’re into beads and jewelry making, then you need to take a minute to browse the sale happening at artbeads.com - I’m seeing a lot of sparkle and I am here for it!

  8. Lastly, this week’s free pattern is Purl Soho’s Fold-Up Market Tote. The instructions look simple enough, and I think you could personalize it with all sorts of embroidery or applique!

Thanks for subscribing to my newsletter! I hope you know how much I appreciate you and am grateful that you’re joining me on this journey. Now, go forth, be brilliant, and make things!

    Xo, Cassie
