AI is entering experience design from multiple directions, this Friday we’ll pick up that thread from our specific angle: what does it take to design services where AI is our project, not just a tool in the designer’s hand?
We’ll use our Triple-O Framework to guide us in unpacking design process for AI and understanding why the classic Double Diamond needs some additions to it.
So we’ll discuss what the Outcomes phase brings to the process and why and how can we approach impact measurement for AI, then will come back to Opportunities and why research matters more and how data can be used in it, and then discuss in detail the Orchestration part and designing AI not as a feature to plug in but as a relationship within services and organizations.
Davide brings the data perspective with a provocation that runs through the whole conversation: data is an organic part of how organizations function, and it needs to be interpreted and “interviewed” the same way you’d interview people; and we need to reach a post-technical understanding of it for the full efficiency of its use.
Together we will try to understand how the new design process might look like when you integrate the disciplines together as it should be.
