  1. Lesson of the week:

Regular socialising builds your cognitive reserve and lowers risk of cognitive decline (30%). It can also reduce risk of dementia and delay onset by five years. If you do not have a close friendship group, try joining a class, volunteering or doing a social part time job. Interacting with people and having conversations is still very beneficial.

  2. Hot tip of the week:

Have a designated pyjama day. Once a month. A scheduled day or half day (ideally planned weeks in advance) that no one can book out, where intentionally do as little as possible with the aim to recharge your batteries. Movies, baking cookies, naps, reading. But be offline completely. This not only leaves you rested, but gets you feeling motivated to take action and get to work the following day.

  3. Word of the week:

Abhorrent - Something causing extreme disgust, detestation, or deep moral revulsion. E.g. ‘Wearing sunglasses on the back of your neck is abhorrent’.

  4. The thing I cant stop thinking about:

Sometimes peace comes with a lot of goodbyes

  5. Recommendation:

    This substack article I LOVE.

  1. Question to carry into the week :

If someone observed your behaviours for one week, what would they say are your priorities in life?

  2. DYFM recommendation:

    393. Growth mindset vs fixed mindset - the mental shift that will change your life

  1. Hotel Mindset Recommenation
