This is really exciting for me: My good friend George Wood approached me with the invitation to distill my book Paul for the World into a feature article for Influence Magazine.
I think this is the first time I have ever written this kind of feature article; it was very fun, but also challenging to get the tone and length just right. I am very happy with how it turned out. (Thank you to the copyeditor!) My hope for this article is that Christians can shake free from “save souls for heaven” theology to the theology of “transformed to become fully human in Christ to become agents of redemption in this world, in the here and now.” That doesn’t cancel out or reject our eschatological hope. That hope of the Eschaton, the final bringing together of heaven and earth, should motivate us all the more to do God’s will here and now on earth as in heaven.
